50 Years of Golf Art - Limited Edition of 50

in March 1974 VW started selling the Golf. Which means that this year is its 50th birthday. To celebrate I decided to create a piece of artwork based around 7 colours that were originally available.

These 7 colours were featured in the original sales brochure so I have tried to capture them as best as I can.

The names of each colour as well as the 1974 are printed in clear spot varnish, meaning that they are only visible in certain light and at certain angles - in the same way they work on my sold out 30th birthday Escort Cosworth piece.

The 7 colours are as follows - Rallye Red, Alpine Green, Chrome Yellow, Bright Yellow, Miami Blue, African Red and Rallye Green.

Once drawn this has then been printed and mounted on gallery quality vinyl before having spot varnish added to give an exaggerated gloss to certain sections of the artwork.

It has then been signed and numbered by me.

There is an option to have Art Glass instead of standard glazing in your frame - The difference is huge and is difficult to capture in a photograph - essentially the Art Glass reduces the reflection and glare dramatically almost looking as if there is no glass there at all - this keeps the colours of the artwork popping no matter the lighting and also protects the artwork from UV.

This is strictly a limited edition of 50 and is available framed or unframed.

Measuring 594mm x 420mm A2 sized before mounting and framing.
